Regular Council Meetings
Vulcan County Council meets in this formal capacity on the first and third Wednesday of the month, with the exception of the months of January, July, September and November in which there is only one scheduled meeting. The County Council agenda for an upcoming meeting is available on the Monday prior to the meeting date and can be found here.
If you wish to have an item of business placed on the agenda, a written submission must be received by the County Office no later than 12:00 noon Tuesday of the week prior to the meeting.
Question Period of Council gives members of the public the opportunity to ask questions of Council, and Council will respond in writing within five (5) business days. Question Period will be held at 11:00 am at every regularly scheduled County Council meeting.
Presentation to Council – Delegation
A person or group of people may make a formal presentation at a Council meeting as a delegation. If you wish to appear as a delegation, a request must be submitted in writing and shall include a summary of the information that will be presented at Council. This request must be submitted to the Municipal Clerk no later than 12:00 noon on the eighth complete day before the day on which the next Council meeting is being held.
The In-Camera portion of the Council meeting is closed to the public to discuss matters as permitted under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPP).
