Regular Council Meetings
Vulcan County Council meets in this formal capacity on the first and third Wednesday of the month, with the exception of the months of January, July, September and November in which there is only one scheduled meeting. The County Council agenda for an upcoming meeting is available on the Monday prior to the meeting date and can be found on this website under Council Meetings > Agendas.
Question Period
Question Period gives members of the public the opportunity to ask questions of Council, and Council will respond in writing. Question Period is held
at 11:00 a.m. during regular Council meetings.
Presentation to Council – Delegation
A person or group of people may make a formal presentation at a Council meeting as a delegation. If you wish to appear as a delegation, a request must be submitted in writing and shall include a summary of the information that will be presented at Council. This request must be submitted to the Municipal Clerk no later than 12:00 noon on the eighth complete day before the day on which the next Council meeting is being held.

Closed Meetings
The closed meeting portion of the Council meeting is closed to the public to discuss matters as permitted under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP). All closed agenda items reference which section of the FOIP Act they apply to. If you have any questions about closed meeting items, please contact the FOIP Coordinator at 403.485.2241.
