Report on the Airport Committee

The Vulcan Town and County Airport Committee is comprised of 2 members from the County, members from the Town, representatives from the Flying Club, a Chairman, and an Administrative/Airport Manager.

The role of this Committee is to provide a service to the Vulcan Municipal Airport located on the west side of the Town of Vulcan. The Committee maintains a budget and maintenance program as well as a service to the pilots that own aircraft and hangars on the property. The Committee has regular monthly meetings to review programs, proposals, and any issues that may arise at the airport.

The airport itself has a lot to offer with a 2950’ paved runway (16/34), a 2100 grass runway (05/23), large lots with taxiway access, buildings that you can fit out to suit any requirements, and easy access to all amenities.

Lease rentals of hangar lots are available to all pilots wishing to park their aircraft in a pleasant and secure location.

For more information please contact the Town of Vulcan at 403-485-2417.
