Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP)

ICSP

Vulcan County recognizes that a sustainable future is important for everyone in order to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. Looking into the future, the County acknowledges that it must strive to become more sustainable in all aspects of its operations and long-term planning. In an effort to address the need to become more sustainable, Vulcan County has undertaken the creation of an Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP). An Integrated Community Sustainability Plan is a long-term plan developed in consultation with the community to realize sustainability for the five areas of: governance, environment, economy, social, and culture. The ICSP provides a blueprint for sustainable actions that Vulcan County can undertake now and in the future. By following the plan, the County will become a leader in rural municipal sustainability.
