Dust Abatement
The Dust Abatement Applications are now open for 2024.
Deadline to apply is April 12th.
Dust abatement consists of the application of various man made oil products, C20, to the surface of the gravel road. The products adhere to the fines (sand/dirt particles) in the gravel to control dust.
Dust abatement products are typically applied in the spring/summer months as some of the products are temperature sensitive.
The cost of dust abatement for 2024 will be $1.18/litre of product applied. Applicants will only be charged for the number of litres actually applied and will see an invoice after all applications of dust abatement are completed and Vulcan County has been billed (approximately late July/August).
THERE IS A MINIMUM LENGTH OF 400 FEET PER APPLICATION
